HONG KONG, Aug. 15, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Professor Ben Young, Vice President (Student and International Affairs) of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), embarked on a journey to Indonesia to interact with global partners and sign Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) on behalf of the University with three Indonesian educational institutions – Canisius College, SMA Santa Ursula and Jubilee School – as part of ongoing efforts to forge strong partnerships. The landmark trip underlines PolyU's firm commitment to strengthening deeper connections in Southeast Asia and supporting young talents on the global stage.
PolyU embarked on a trip to Indonesia to engage with global partners and sign MoUs with three Indonesian educational institutions on behalf of the University. PolyU Vice-Chancellor (Student and International Affairs), Professor Ben YOUNG and other PolyU representatives presented the latest updates from PolyU.
During the visit, Professor Young led faculty members from the School of Business, Engineering and Science, as well as Indonesian Technological University Student Ambassadors, in promoting the university to school principals, counselors and students from various backgrounds. They met with local high schools to provide updates on Technological University, introduce dual degree and new undergraduate programs, and share the various support services and opportunities available to students. Meanwhile, the student ambassadors shared their inspiring learning experiences at Technological University.

Recently, Professor Young signed a Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of PolyU with an educational institution in Laos, establishing the first educational collaboration between Hong Kong and Laos. He also signed MoUs on behalf of PolyU with an educational institution in Vietnam and Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City. Both events were witnessed by His Excellency John LEE Ka-chiu, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. PolyU's recent engagement in Southeast Asia marks a major step forward for all stakeholders in fostering collaboration between institutions around the world and enhancing university education.
