BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – Brunswick County launched a health and wellness resource portal on August 15 with information to help people get health care, fresh food and more.
The portal features maps outlining local support programs, clinical services, community centers, fresh food markets, mental health services, wellness programs, and local parks, trails, and recreational facilities.
“The Brunswick County Health Department is pleased to provide a centralized resource guide that is convenient and easy to access for county residents,” said Health Department Director David Howard. “Our commitment to addressing local health issues and supporting the well-being of our community motivated us to create this new tool.”
You can access the portal on the county's website.
The portal was created as a joint effort between the county's Health Services and Geographic Information Systems departments.
