Five-star offensive tackle Michael Fasci of Louisville (Texas), who was once expected to choose rival Texas, is now leaning toward Oklahoma, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).
Texas insider Eric Narlin on Saturday recorded expert projections that the Sooners are likely to land Fasci: According to RPM, Oklahoma's odds of landing Fasci are currently at 52%.
Fassoushi is expected to announce his college decision on Aug. 21.
The 6-foot-5, 299-pound player took his official visit to Norman the weekend of June 14.
“It went really well, I loved everything about it,” Fassoushi told On3 after the visit.
“… Nothing has changed since I was there last time. (Oklahoma) has great resources and an overall great family environment,” he continued. “And best of all, there's development going on.”
Michael Fassi Employment Profile
Fasci is ranked as the nation's No. 12 prospect, No. 3 offensive tackle and No. 5 player out of Texas in the 2025 cycle, according to On3 Industry Rankings, a weighted average using all four major recruiting media companies.
On3’s scouting and rankings team wrote the following about him as a prospect:
“Physically strong offensive lineman with natural size and growth potential. During the On3 Elite Series prior to his senior season, he measured 6'5″, 299 lbs with 9.75 inch hand length. Arm length is 34 ⅞ inches, a plus for the position. Barrel chest. Developed size significantly in the offseason between his sophomore and junior years. Spends most of his time as a left tackle but has played on the right side as well. Strong in the run game; bites into defensive linemen and keeps his feet moving through contact. Takes a fair bit of push at the point of attack. Plays with the edge and looks to finish blocks with strength. Showed promising growth on the field his junior year, adding strength to his play. Good all-around athlete with room to further develop as a pass protector. Can improve lateral agility and balance.”
“When playing against college-level prospects in camp, he has a tendency to rush and get off balance. He also participates in track and field, and as a junior he posted a personal best in the shot put of 51-8.75 feet, which is an impressive mark. His ability in the run game is strong with the position versatility to play tackle or guard long term. His ultimate ceiling will be determined by continued improvement in pass protection, but there is upside potential.”
