WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — We'll be looking back each day at notable moments from the 2024 Little League Baseball World Series.
Standout Performance: Southeast's James Feliciano hit the tournament's first home run in a 6-1 win over Northwest last night. Feliciano totaled two RBIs and one run scored.
Showing off the power: The Latin American offense was impressive in its debut at the 2024 Little League World Series. Another home run hitter, Johnson Freites, homered, put three runners on base and scored two runs.
That team: Asia Pacific beat both teams by a combined score of 19-0. They have great pitching depth and offense. They look like early favorites in international tournaments, although we might have something to say about Latin America before it's over.
Flawless pitching: Evan Tarvares struck out nine in five innings Friday for West. He's been nearly hitless in his two Little League Baseball World Series appearances.
A dream come true: Latin America was surprisingly impressive in their debut at the 2024 Little League Baseball World Series. They had 10 hits against a Mexican team that pitched a combined no-hitter in the opening game. That didn't really matter, as Latin America took a 4-run lead in the first inning. They kept scoring, adding 5 more runs in the third inning and one more in the fourth to end the game. William Mora had two doubles, while Diego Bialetta and Jonathan Randaeta had one double each.
