Representing the metro area, Staten Island used four runs in the fourth inning to beat Sioux Falls, South Dakota, 6-3, and avoid elimination at 0-2 in the Little League World Series. Nine players recorded at least one hit and six players had one RBI in a well-balanced game against South Dakota. Next up is a team from Hinsdale, Illinois, that fell to the losers' bracket after being shutout 5-0 by Hawaii in the opener.
