Cincoro Tequila has secured distribution in key Asia Pacific markets including Hong Kong, Macau, China, Korea, Japan and Australia through a deal with Hong Kong-based distributor Eclipse Beverages.
The distributor, which was named Asian Beverage Company of the Year 2024 for its beverage business, will also provide inventory hub services to the brand from Shenzhen, China.
Cincoro's international managing director Quentin Jobe said Tequila Blood has “big ambitions for the Asia-Pacific region”.
He said: “We are excited to partner with Eclipse Beverages as we feel they offer a unique product in the market with their outstanding regional expertise, local distribution in key markets such as China and Korea, as well as in-house digital and marketing capabilities.”
Jordan founded Cincoro Tequila in 2019 with four former NBA stars: Jeanie Buss of the Los Angeles Lakers, Wes Edens of the Milwaukee Bucks, and Emilia Fazzalari and Wyck Grousbeck of the Boston Celtics.
In March, the basketball star announced plans to expand the brand globally, and Jordan added some of his “closest friends” to his list of co-owners, including tennis queen Serena Williams and former Yankee Derek Jeter, to help accelerate international expansion.
Since announcing its global growth plans earlier this year, Cincoro has inked a partnership with Italian football giants AC Milan. As part of the deal, Cincoro will be available during events at San Siro Stadium.
The multi-layered partnership with Eclipse Beverages will accelerate Cincoro Tequila's growth in the Asia-Pacific market. The brand has also announced expansion into other European markets, including the UK, France, Greece and Spain.
Cincoro Tequila is made using 100% Blue Weber aged agave selected from both the highlands and lowlands of Jalisco, Mexico. All of the brand's tequilas start as Cincoro Blanco and are aged in Tennessee whiskey barrels. There are four tequilas in the series, each with a hefty price tag: Bottle prices start at $70 for Blanco (unaged), $90 for Reposado (aged 8-10 months), $130 for Añejo (aged 24-28 months), and $1,600 for Extra Añejo (aged 40-44 months).
