ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 9) – U.S. News & World Report released its annual rankings of Best Community Hospitals for 2024-2025 on Tuesday.
The media outlet said it looked at 139 hospitals in Minnesota as part of its Best Regional Hospitals list and determined that 11 hospitals in the state met the criteria for the ranking.
According to U.S. News, the best hospitals in Minnesota are:
Mayo Clinic – RochesterArena Health Abbott Northwestern Hospital in MinneapolisCentraCare – St. Cloud Hospital and M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis (tied for third place)Arena Health Mercy Hospital – Coon RapidsArena Health United Hospital in St. PaulMayo Clinic Health System MankatoM Health Fairview Southdale Hospital in EdinaPark Nicolet Methodist Hospital in St. Louis ParkEssentia Health – St. Mary's Medical Center in DuluthM Health Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville
U.S. News also released its top hospitals near the Twin Cities, naming Allina Health Abbott Northwestern Hospital No. 1, M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center No. 2 and Allina Health Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids No. 3.
Mayo Clinic Rochester was also named to U.S. News' Top 20 Best Hospitals list, ranking in the top 10 in the following specialties:
