2024 Caleb Williams Fantasy Football Predictions
The model has confirmed Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams' 2024 fantasy football projections. The 22-year-old had a stellar collegiate career, including ranking in the top 14 in passing grade and yards per attempt over his final two seasons at USC, according to Pro Football Focus. He enters the NFL in an ideal situation to back up players like DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, Rome Odunze and D'Andre Swift.
Offensive coordinator Shane Waldron is in his first year on the job after spending the past seven seasons with the Rams and Seahawks and is expected to bring some passing volume to Chicago's offense. But there are still some things owners should be aware of before drafting Williams: his high ADP. 2024 Jayden Daniels Fantasy Football Predictions
The model also released a projection for Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels. Daniels, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, is in his rookie season but is already older than several non-rookie starters in the NFL. Daniels turned 24 in December, nearly a year older than C.J. Stroud. His five seasons as a starter in college have seen him get more snaps than the typical rookie, and he rushed for 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns and 1,134 yards and 10 touchdowns last year at Louisiana State.
Daniels is now playing professionally, but there is an argument to be made that last year's top two receivers at Louisiana State were more naturally talented than the Commanders' WR1 this season. Daniels had the luxury of throwing passes to Malik Neighbors and Brian Thomas Jr., who were both first-round picks in the 2024 NFL Draft. Terry McLaurin is an established wide receiver in the NFL, but other than him, the Commanders don't have many pass-catchers to terrorize defenses. NFL defensive coordinators will try to confuse Daniels, and while his athleticism was a big advantage in college, it remains to be seen how that will work in the NFL. 2024 Drake May Fantasy Football Predictions
The model also released rankings for Patriots rookie quarterback Drake Maye. A two-year starter at North Carolina, Maye led the ACC in passing yards the past two seasons while also flashing his talent, rushing for over 1,200 yards and scoring 16 touchdowns. But his numbers took a regressive turn overall in 2023 after losing two receivers to the NFL Draft. That's important because Maye joins a Patriots team lacking in talent on offense, with New England ranking in the bottom five in passing yards, total yards and points last season.
Unlike Williams and Daniels, the two players drafted ahead of him, Maye has yet to be named New England's starting quarterback. With veteran Jacoby Brissett in pole position to start the season, Maye's one-year fantasy impact will undoubtedly be limited. However, Maye brings a dynamic element to the position that Brissett lacks, so fantasy managers will need to determine if Maye is a player to draft and keep as part of their fantasy football strategy for 2024.
