My flight landed in Frankfurt late at night and on the drive from the airport to the hotel I was greeted by a crowd of already well-dressed fashion people. This was my first international fashion show and there was a lot to see. Being used to the New York Fashion Week circuit, it was amazing how diverse and well-traveled the attendees were at this show in Germany. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their summers flying around different countries in Europe and we all took a quick break to experience Dorothea Schumacher's fashion show.
The show itself was breathtaking, with a theme of western, tailoring, and bold accessories. I was taking style notes from both the runway and the show attendees because I couldn't imagine a better-dressed crew. Many in the audience were wearing Dorothea Schumacher and their styling was amazing. After seeing what the attendees were wearing, I had to share 5 trends I'm buying right now. Keep scrolling!
1. Cord pendant necklace
There's nothing more effortless than a cord pendant necklace, and I saw several guests take their look up a notch with the addition of one of these simple statement pieces. I need to buy more of these.

2. Cool loafers
When I was picking my outfit for the event, I immediately knew I had to choose these chic loafers by Dorothee Schumacher. After spending most of Euro Summer in sandals, I noticed that many of the chic attendees at the event were opting for more understated footwear, including loafers, ballet flats, and sneakers.

3. Minimalist Bags
German style is very understated and elegant, so there weren't many bags with logos. Participants chose “in the know, you know” bags that don't need a label to know they're a quality product. We loved Dorothee Schumacher's bag, which features horsebit-inspired metal details.

4. Sheer
I wasn't expecting to see so much sheer clothing, but it was very popular at the event. Everyone looked great in transparent clothing and it felt like a great opportunity to layer. I've been wanting to try out more sheer clothing ever since I returned home.

5. Western Statement
One of the main themes on and off the runway was the Wild West. Dorothée herself loves horse riding, and seeing her models take inspiration from the Wild West, I knew I needed a cowboy hat too. Nothing pairs better with a cowboy hat than a fringe jacket and studded jeans.

6. Bohemian dress
Another sensation I loved from the runway was the bohemian dress, which we're already seeing everywhere. Ruffled chiffon dresses in pretty prints created quite a buzz on the runway, and some of the brand's guests really knew how to style this trend. This brings us to the modern prairie dress, and I'm here for it.
