British brand Dr. Martens today released its latest silhouette, the Anniston Biker Boot, and with its rugged vibe and hardware, the shoe is looking to capitalize on a gradual growing trend that has been on the rise in the market over the past two years.
The Anniston boots will be available in high and low versions, each available in three colorways: dark brown, charcoal, and black Wanama. The shoes have raised Vex soles with exaggerated cleats and are finished with the company's signature stitching, but the leather and voluminous silhouette give them a tough look.
Models star in the campaign for Dr. Martens' new Aniston biker boots.
The high version features an industrial-inspired plaque and buckle, and both versions feature the signature black and yellow heel loop. Prices are $180 for the low style and $210 for the high style.
The shoe's release follows the debut of Miu Miu's motorcycle boots in Fall 2022. Those shoes sparked a bit of a craze, with a search for “Miu Miu biker boots” bringing up 3.5 million posts on TikTok to date. These boots also feature hardware, but with more buckles than the Dr. Martens variation. Other bands have since released versions, and Steve Madden offered up a virtual knockoff of the shoe. Loewe also designed a red motorcycle boot that they showed on the runway. Other names like Acne Studios and Ganni have also copied them.
Celebrities have been seen wearing a variety of styles, including Sienna Miller, Dua Lipa and Elsa Hosk, while footwear trend-conscious Emily Ratajkowski was spotted wearing Miu Miu boots last month.
Boots are often worn with denim shorts or sexy mini dresses, the latter often used as a contrast with ruffles.
