As you can see from the latest extract from the Asia Fruit Exhibition Preview, this year's Asia Fruit Logistica will feature exhibitors from across Asia.
Fresh Del Monte
Fresh Del Monte Produce is excited to showcase the Del Monte RubyGlow pineapple, the company's latest innovation after more than 15 years of research and development efforts and a registered botanical patent in the United States. Production is extremely limited, with the fruit ripening naturally on the plant in Costa Rica and sold uncrowned at an ultra-premium price. RubyGlow was first launched in China in early 2024 and is now also available in the U.S. market.
As a leading global vertically integrated producer, marketer and distributor of high-quality fresh and cut fruits and vegetables with a global customer network, Del Monte aims to connect with potential customers, suppliers and partners around the world with Asia Fruit Logistica.
Daming Farm
Daemyung Farms, a South Korean importer, exporter and distributor, is committed to expanding its business across retail and wholesale channels, with sales currently exceeding US$250 million. This growth is based on its commitment to ensuring high-quality produce from farmers to buyers and meeting the various market demands for quality and price. Daemyung Farms plans to promote its wide range of produce in Asia Fruit Logistica, aiming to further develop intra-Asian trade.
The spotlight will be on “Noel,” a new variety of melon developed from muskmelon that has yellow flesh, a sweet taste, and a long shelf life. A new variety of kiwi fruit with low acidity, high sugar content, and firmness will also be on display.
Ecoplants
Ecoplants, a post-harvest solutions provider, has carved out a key position in the Korean market with its patented 1-MCP generator FreshLong. Ecoplants' Seokin Back says that by combining cutting-edge technology and know-how, the company has been able to meet the needs of Korean growers, packers, distributors and exporters. Now the company is looking to expand its presence in other Asian markets.
“Simply adding FreshLong to your current storage methods can dramatically extend shelf life. Using FreshLong after harvest can increase the value of your produce by maintaining the same quality levels as when it was just picked,” says Buck. EcoPlants is also working on adding even smarter features to its technology, such as mobile data sharing.
Evergood Corporation
Evergood Corporation, Korea's largest exporter, will be exhibiting at Asia Fruit Logistica again in 2024 with the aim of further market expansion. The company currently supplies high-quality fresh produce to around 20 markets, including Southeast Asia, China, Japan, the US, Canada and the EU. Its main categories are strawberries, grapes and pears, but it also supplies persimmons, peaches, melons and mushrooms. The company is also expanding into processed foods.
At this year's event, Evergood will unveil new packaging and a mascot to help promote new products the company is developing, including Star Apple and new grape varieties such as Red Claret, Red Shine Muscat, Hongju, Sunny Dolce and Seopyunghon.
Comex Farm
Vietnamese exporter Comex Farm continues to expand its product portfolio and plans to explore new export markets such as the US, Canada and Europe with Asia Fruit Logistica. The company's key fresh produce includes dragon fruit, coconut, lime, pomelo, banana and passion fruit. Dragon fruit and coconut in particular are driving growth with the Middle East and India emerging as key markets. Over the past year, the company has secured supply partnerships with retailers in these regions, including Barakat Fresh, New West Zone, Onedayone Group and Anusaya Fresh. Comex Farm is also investing in product development for a range of processed products, including its Thumb Coconut brand, specifically designed for easy-to-open coconuts, as well as frozen, dried and chewy dried fruits.
