Former Borussia Dortmund centre-back Mats Hummels has made a decision regarding his future, the FT reports.
It's well known that Hummels has been in high demand across Europe since leaving the Westfalenstadion at the end of last season.
Where the 35-year-old will play this season remains a mystery, with teams from the Premier League, Serie A, La Liga and Bundesliga showing interest.
However, despite interest from RCD Mallorca, Bologna, Brighton & Hove Albion and Bayer Leverkusen, the 2014 World Cup winner appears set to opt to join Real Sociedad.
Hummels is expected to sign a one-year contract with the Spanish side in the coming days with the option to stay at the club for a further season.
The move marks the defender's first move outside Germany, having always impressed in the Bundesliga throughout his career, and he will be looking to help Real Sociedad win both the domestic league and the Europa League.
