Developed and managed by FABC-OSC, synodalityasia aims to centralize synod-related resources and foster engagement among Asia’s diverse communities.
This initiative is in line with Pope Francis’ vision of expanding the Synod into a global consultation that includes all of God’s people.
According to FABC-OSC, the website features multiple local language translations of synod documents, insightful commentaries and a dedicated social media platform designed to promote Asian perspectives on the synod.
Cardinal Francis highlighted the website's role in facilitating a broad and inclusive consultative process across the vast Asian continent, known for its rich cultural and linguistic diversity.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Archbishop Thomas D'Souza, a member of the FABC-OSC, hailed the website as a vital link between the Vatican and the Church in Asia, ensuring that relevant information reaches its target audience efficiently.
FABC-OSC Secretary General Father George Prasotham highlighted the website's ability to host a variety of content that reflects the diversity of the local Church, including news, commentary, translations, infographics and social media activity.
Dr. Thierry Bonaventura, Communications Manager of the Synod Secretariat, also shared a message highlighting the importance of the Synod Asia Platform in promoting dialogue, participation and connection among believers.
FABC-OSC invites all interested parties to visit the Synod Asia website and join its social media channels to stay informed about the latest news, events and resources related to Synod in the Asian context.
