Season series: Astros lead 4-2
The Astros won their opener 6-0 on Thursday but dropped their next two games, 7-5 and 3-2. Second baseman Jose Altuve hit his 18th home run of the season, his second straight game with a home run and went 7-for-8 at-bats. The Astros hold a 4.5-game lead in the AL West.
The Orioles have struggled for consistency and are now half a game behind the New York Yankees in the AL East, with records of 11-9 and 16-14 in their last 20 and 30 games, respectively. SS Jackson Holiday gave the Orioles a big shock on Saturday with a pinch-hit, three-run double.

This will be Kikuchi's 27th start (6-9, 4.37 ERA) after posting a 1.29 WHIP, 2.4 BB/9 and 10.5 K/9 in 138 innings with the Toronto Blue Jays and Astros.
Last start: Monday's 5-4 home win against the Boston Red Sox, no win/loss, 5 2/3 innings, one run (three earned), six hits, one walk, seven strikeouts. Four starts since joining Houston: 2-0, 2.42 ERA (22 1/3 innings, six runs), 1.03 WHIP, 12.5 strikeouts in 9 innings. Last five starts vs. Baltimore: 2-0, 2.81 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, 31 strikeouts in 25 2/3 innings. Two starts against Baltimore this year: 1-0, 1.74 ERA (10 1/3 innings, two runs), 1.16 WHIP, 15 strikeouts.

Astros vs. Orioles predictions and forecasts
prediction
Orioles 3, Astros 2
Money Line
Tonight we have a matchup between two in-form pitchers who have had great records against opposing teams, with Houston averaging 3.8 points per game over their last 10 games and Baltimore averaging 4.5 points per game over that same span.
But what really stands out to me is how well Kremer has done against Houston. In all three of his starts, he has pitched at least seven innings and only allowed three runs total. The Orioles are 39-29 at home, so I'm betting on the Orioles -110 for this Pick 'Em.
Against run line/spread
Skip the RL and check out DEAN KREMER's 4.5+ K's (+125), who has 5+ K's in 2 of his last 3 starts and his last 2 GS against Houston.
Over/Under
The temperature is expected to be 83 degrees with a 5 mph wind out in left-center field. I expect it to be a low scoring game so I don't think that will be a factor. The O's are 3-7 in their last 10 games while Houston is 4-6.
Choose UNDER 8.5 (-105).
