Norwegian runner Jacob Ingebrigtsen and Swedish pole vaulter Armand Duplantis set new world records and Canada's Marco Arop set a new meet record at the Diamond League meet in Chorzow, Poland, on Sunday.
Ingebrigtsen won the men's 3,000 metres in a world record time of 7 minutes 17.55 seconds.
The time beat the previous record of 7 minutes 20.67 seconds set by Kenya's Daniel Komen in 1996.
Ingebrigtsen's previous personal best for this distance was 7 minutes 23.63 seconds.

Jakob Ingebrigtsen broke the world record in the men's 3,000 meters in a time of 7 minutes 17.55 seconds for Poland.
Duplantis had already won the men's pole vault at the Silesian Stadium with a jump of 6 metres, but now he set a new world record with a jump of 6.26 metres.
The 24-year-old Louisiana-born athlete, competing for her mother's native Sweden, improved her own world record by one centimeter.
It's the third time this year that he's set a world record – at the recent Olympics in Paris, he cleared 6.25 metres after winning gold.

Sweden's Armand Duplantis breaks pole vault world record
After breaking the world record at the Paris Olympics, Armand Duplantis cleared a height of 6.26 meters in the Diamond League Silesia.
Popularly known as “Mondo”, Duplantis has broken the world record 10 times during his career, improving it by one centimetre each time.
Canadian athlete sets new meet record in men's 800m
The Edmonton native led the men's 800m race and won easily in a meet record time of 1 minute 41.86 seconds.
The 25-year-old reigning world champion took second place in 1 minute 43.23 seconds, ahead of reigning Olympic champion Emmanuel Wanyonyi of Kenya.

Canadian Marco Arop wins 800m at Diamond League Silesia, setting new meet record
Edmonton's Marko Arop easily won the men's 800 meters in Poland with a time of 1 minute 41.86 seconds.
The two runners met Thursday in the 800-meter race at the Diamond League in Lausanne, Switzerland, where Wanyoni won the unofficial Diamond League meet in a world-leading, personal-best time of 1 minute 41.11 seconds.
