CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Corpus Christi NAACP has concluded its 2024 Community Health Clinic at Ben Garza Gymnasium.
The event offered a variety of health, fitness and dental services to members of the Coastal Bend community.
Organizers said general information on how to stay healthy was also provided in an effort to create a safe space for attendees and help them feel more comfortable engaging in conversations about health issues and concerns.
“It's a blessing and an honor to be able to provide this service, especially in the middle of this neighborhood,” said Thea Cain, vice president of the NAACP.
“So I feel it's an honor to be a part of the NAACP and provide this service,” Cain said.
The NAACP hopes to continue hosting this event annually in the future.
The NAACP plans to host several more events in the fall to continue supporting the community.
