Sunday was the final day of the preseason, and the 2024 NFL schedule officially begins in less than two weeks. The Broncos were one of the few teams with a quarterback competition this offseason, but Bo Nix has proven he deserves to be a starter, even in his rookie season. The Broncos will rest Nix on Sunday against the Cardinals, but Jarrett Stidham and Zach Wilson are expected to play, competing for the backup quarterback spot. Are they worthy of being selected in NFL DFS?
The Broncos won their first two preseason games with three quarterbacks with starting experience. So, should you include the Broncos in your NFL DFS lineups from the NFL DFS player pool even if the Knicks aren't playing? The remaining two games on Sunday's schedule for daily fantasy football players to consider are Titans vs Saints and Patriots vs Commanders. Top NFL preseason DFS picks for Sunday
One of Keilor's top DFS picks for Sunday is Arizona Cardinals quarterback Clayton Tune. The 25-year-old Tune has completed 23 of 34 passes (67.7%) for 242 yards and a touchdown in two preseason games. Tune also had a 12-yard rushing touchdown last week, giving him the fifth-highest completion percentage among quarterbacks who have attempted at least 34 passes this preseason.
Tune is competing with Desmond Ridder for the backup quarterback position behind Kyler Murray, with the winner likely to be decided in the final preseason game. Tune is expected to start against the Broncos, where he will get the majority of snaps and be surrounded by players who are considered the better weapons. Given this opportunity, Keiler is hoping to have Tune in his NFL DFS lineups.
Keillor's NFL DFS strategy also includes Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte on the roster. Boutte had three receptions for a total of 76 yards in each of New England's first two preseason games. The Patriots selected Boutte in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, and Boutte caught a 42-yard touchdown in last preseason.
The Patriots are likely to have their top two quarterbacks, Jacoby Brissett and Drake Maye, on the field frequently as they compete for the starting quarterback spot. This could create better opportunities for Boutte and the other New England pass-catching players than they do Sunday in the rest of the preseason. Boutte is battling to make the final 53-man roster, and New England's coaching staff may want to see him play extensively before making a final decision on which side of the cut line he'll be on.
