UK online grocery giant Ocado starts offering Express It slots to customers, same-day delivery
Ocado has contacted customers to let them know same-day delivery is now available.
The email read: “Need ingredients for tonight's dinner? Or just want your favorite snack? Express It.”
“Yes, same-day delivery is now a reality, we've named it Express It Slots. The gist is that you can find this new same-day delivery slot on your regular booking page and book it up until 11am for delivery after 4pm on the same day. And that's it.”
RTIH tested the service and found that at 8am on Saturday, August 17, the earliest available slot was between 4.30pm and 5.30pm, costing £5.99, with a later slot that evening also being offered for £4.99.

A recent letter from Senators Bob Casey (D-PA) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) to Kroger CEO Rodney McMullen asked for “further information to better understand the justification and risks of electronic shelving.”
“Increased use of dynamic pricing will result in increased profits for companies and passed on to consumers,” the senators said.
“It is outrageous that grocery giants like Kroger continue to gouging prices and engaging in other unfair corporate profit-making tactics while families continue to struggle to pay for food,” they wrote.
That's a misconception, according to Brittain Rudd, a supply chain consultant and former Amazon executive who said he read the letter with amusement.
