Rookie quarterbacks always attract a lot of attention. After six were selected in the first 12 picks of the 2024 NFL Draft, many young playmakers will be garnering attention in our 2024 fantasy football rookie quarterback rankings. But relying on a rookie quarterback for fantasy football in 2024 is a risky proposition. As long as we have C.J. Stroud, we have Bryce Young, Sam Darnold, and Zach Wilson. So which rookie fantasy football 2024 quarterbacks could make an impact this season, and which quarterbacks should you avoid?
Despite paying veteran QB Kirk Cousins $180 million this offseason, the Falcons shocked the world by spending the No. 8 overall pick on Michael Pennis Jr. While Pennis should probably be avoided in any format other than dynasty or deepest keeper leagues, where should each quarterback rank in your 2024 fantasy football rankings? If you're looking for fantasy football advice for 2024, be sure to check out SportsLine's 2024 Fantasy Football Cheat Sheet from their proven computer model.
Last year, the model accurately predicted that Lions running back Jameel Gibbs would provide much more value than expected in his rookie season, when Gibbs ran for 945 yards and 10 touchdowns while catching 52 passes for 316 yards and one score. Gibbs was an average mid-fourth round pick, but finished as a top-10 running back in CBS Sports PPR leagues.
The same model has a proven track record of providing fantasy football tips, identifying AJ Brown as a sleeper in 2020 and accurately predicting Jonathan Taylor's phenomenal season in 2021. Additionally, they have predicted past fantasy football sleepers such as Derrick Henry in 2019, Christian McCaffrey and Alvin Kamara in 2018, and Davante Adams in 2017. Those who bet on these players have gone on to win league titles.
The model is built by the same people who create the predictions for the three major fantasy sites, and it beat out human experts last season when there was a huge gap in the rankings. Predictions are updated multiple times daily, so you'll always get the best fantasy football advice.

2024 Caleb Williams Fantasy Football Predictions
The model has confirmed Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams' 2024 fantasy football projections. Williams, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, has shown explosiveness and playmaking ability in his limited preseason appearances that have made him one of the most highly-anticipated quarterback prospects to enter the NFL in the past decade. Williams will not play in the Bears' final preseason game, but has shown enough potential in his two appearances that he is considered the front-runner for this year's NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award.
Williams will need to adjust to playing in cold weather, a part of his career in Chicago. After playing in warm climates for the majority of his collegiate career, he will now have to deal with wind and sub-freezing temperatures on a regular basis. Williams currently has an ADP of 103.6 and is an average ninth-round pick in CBS Sports fantasy football drafts. You can see the complete fantasy football QB rankings here.
2024 Jayden Daniels Fantasy Football Predictions
The model also released a projection for Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, the 2023 Heisman Trophy winner out of Louisiana State University who was selected No. 2 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. Daniels completed 72.2% of his passes for 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns with four interceptions, while also rushing for 1,134 yards and 10-plus scores.
New Commanders head coach Dan Quinn didn't guarantee Daniels a starting spot, but he was officially named the starter last week after winning a commanding quarterback battle with veteran Marcus Mariota. Daniels has shown off an active arm and impressive athleticism throughout the preseason, but he will have to shoulder a heavy load for an offense that ranks 25th in the NFL in scoring and 24th in total yards. You can see each quarterback's ranking here.
2024 Drake May Fantasy Football Predictions
The model also released its rankings for Patriots rookie quarterback Drake Maye. Daniels and Williams are sure to be selections in most fantasy football 2024 drafts, but owners are waiting for more information on the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Maye is competing with Jacoby Brissett and fellow rookie Joe Milton for the Patriots' Week 1 starter spot.
Even if Maye doesn't start in the season opener against the Bengals, he could still be worth a late-round pick. The Patriots are expected to struggle this season and could be on the back foot. Maye threw for over 8,000 yards in just two seasons at North Carolina, so his upside could be intriguing for players looking for 2024 fantasy football deep sleepers.
