PUEBLO — Food is the focus at the Colorado State Fair, and we're putting the spotlight on the people keeping you safe and making sure you don't get sick eating a turkey leg.
Inspectors from the Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment (PDPHE) are at the fair daily to check that all food vendors are not violating health codes.
“It's important that we do this every day,” said Cheyenne Ardiales with PDPHE, “We want to be in contact with all of our vendors and make sure safe food practices are in place at all times, not just when we're not there.”
At least eight inspectors will be at the fair to inspect food vendors.
