Kirsty Allsopp has slammed the “absurd” report submitted to social services about her 15-year-old son's train journey across Europe.
The TV presenter has faced heavy criticism after revealing that her son had travelled to several European cities this summer with a 16-year-old friend.
After he returned he was contacted by a social worker and informed that a file had been opened due to child protection concerns.

She then defended herself, arguing that the defendant was almost 16 years old and that children had a right to more independence.
In her latest post about X, she said she was “very upset” about the report to child welfare services.
“That's a summary of where we've arrived at, but the main issue is that while many people seem to think the world is a more dangerous place to travel, with modern communications, safer transportation and better emergency medical care, it is a safer place to travel,” she said.

She said she was “proud of his journey” and added that it was “great to see him come back so happy and confident.”
“The bright side of this furor is that I hope it has started a discussion about how we can best support teenagers to develop into confident, capable adults and how to take a fact-based, realistic view of the risks,” she said.
