Chess.com invites you to play against GM Viswanathan Anand. The Vishy vs. the World match will begin on September 30th and will feature a voting chess format that is open to anyone in the community.
Fight against Anand
The event celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Kasparov vs. World Championship, in which then-world champion GM Garry Kasparov made headlines by playing against over 50,000 opponents online. Kasparov ultimately emerged victorious after four months and 62 moves.
Now, players from all over the world will face off against Anand, another former world champion and one of the most celebrated chess masters on the planet. Members who wish to participate can vote for the next move at any point in the game, and the game will follow the move that receives the most votes.
This is your chance to play against the legendary Anand and make your mark in chess history. Visci vs World is expected to attract a massive turnout, surpassing the 50,000 achieved in Kasparov vs World, meaning you could take part in a record-breaking game with the largest number of participants in history.
To this day, Anand remains one of the strongest players to come out of India, one of the most powerful countries in the chess world. He is also one of the few players over 50 who is still active and can compete on an equal footing with the modern elite. Do you think you can beat him?
