Sony has released a new DualSense Edge update that makes updating and using the peripheral a lot more convenient, and we're not talking about a price update in Japan, but a new PlayStation Accessories app on PC that lets users fully customize the pricey controller.
DualSense Edge's August 2024 update will unleash the full power of the PS5 controller
As mentioned above, the new PlayStation Accessories app not only lets you update your controller's firmware, but also allows you to fully customize it from your PC, without needing a PS5.
Here are the patch notes:
Version: 2.0.0.13
“PlayStation Accessories” is the new name for “DualSense Wireless Controller Firmware Updater”. You can now create, edit, and switch between custom profiles on your PC with your DualSense Edge wireless controller. We've made significant improvements to the overall design and user experience.
To take advantage of the new features, you'll need to update your DualSense Edge to the latest firmware.
While the standard DualSense can't be customized, the PlayStation Accessories app also allows users to update the firmware from a PC.
Please note that the DualSense can be connected to your PC both via USB cable and Bluetooth, and you can also use a Bluetooth adapter, although not all adapters are supported.
