PARK CITY, Utah — The Rotary Club of Park City Sunrise and High West Distillery are hosting the eighth annual Park City Sunrise Shot Ski on Oct. 12, hoping to raise $60,000 for local grant programs.
The event is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Park City's historic Main Street, where attendees will sip shots of High West Double Rye Whiskey in communal shotskis.
Last year's competition set a world record by firing 1,363 shots using 551 skis end to end over a 2,950-foot ski run, and the competition raised more than $40,000 for the Rotary Club's grants program.

This year, organizers hope to break that record by offering 1,385 shots.
“Thanks to our generous and engaged community, Park City Sunrise Shot Ski™ continues to break records and raise meaningful funds to support local grant programs,” said Connie Nelson, Rotary Club of Park City Sunrise member. “We encourage participants to purchase tickets or secure sponsorship opportunities to help make an even bigger impact at this year's event.”
Tickets cost $30 and include a seat on the shot skis, with sponsorship options ranging from $250 to $600.
Proceeds will support the Rotary Club's grants program, benefiting 20 local organizations.
Tickets, sponsorships and merchandise are available on the Park City Shotski website.
