BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – A fourth suspect has been arrested in the shooting death of 21-year-old Asia Poole.
Birmingham Police confirmed that 20-year-old Akoleya Denae Woods was arrested on multiple charges including murder, attempted murder and discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling or vehicle.
Three people have already been arrested in connection to this investigation: 20-year-old Justin Hendricks, 22-year-old Taylor McCloud and 19-year-old Janiyah Hendricks.
Justin and Taylor were charged with murder and attempted murder, while Janiyah was charged with first-degree burglary.
Investigators said the incident happened during a “physical dispute” between multiple people in the parking lot of an apartment building on Gallant Drive.
After they were separated, multiple gunmen reportedly fired 168 rounds, striking both victims and killing Poole.
