Ankush Malhotra is the new group CEO of technology and automation company Element Logic, succeeding Doug Adler Blacksett, who co-founded the company nearly 40 years ago and is stepping down from day-to-day operations after 30 years at the helm.
“Ankush Malhotra is the right person to lead the company forward in what will be a significant global initiative,” said Blackseth, the former group CEO of Element Logic.
Element Logic offers multiple solutions and is widely recognized as the primary implementation partner for AutoStore, providing robotic automated storage and retrieval system solutions.
“I am truly honoured to take on this role and look forward to joining this great company with such a rich heritage,” said Malhotra. “Element Logic has experienced impressive growth and has big ambitions for its next chapter. I am excited to join such a passionate team and am committed to creating value for our customers and driving the business forward in the coming years.”
Malhotra will be based in London and brings 18 years of experience from Danaher, Fortive and Fluke, having held various roles in the US and UK, including the past four years as president of Fluke Reliability, an innovation leader in the markets the company serves, Element Logic added.
“Given our ongoing global expansion, this is a natural move to hand over the baton. Ankush Malhotra is an ambitious, internationally experienced leader who understands what it takes to succeed as a global company,” added Blackseth. “His leadership style and principles are well aligned with ElementLogic's values and aspirations. His extensive knowledge of running complex, growing businesses in global markets makes him the ideal candidate for the next chapter of our journey.”
Blackseth will now become chairman of the board of directors.
In recent years, Element Logic has expanded significantly, increasing distribution into new markets, and in 2022, Element Logic acquired SDI (now SDI Element Logic), strengthening its capabilities as an integrator and solutions provider.
Over the past three years, the company has added operations in seven new countries, expanded across two continents and added more than 700 employees worldwide. The company now aims to continue to gain more market share and become a leading global integrator of automated warehouse solutions, he added.
“Together with the talented team at ElementLogic, I will leverage my experience and knowledge to serve our customers, drive profitable growth and continue to foster an employee-centric culture,” Malhotra concluded.
