Some people like to sweat it out over nine tough innings of games, while others like instant gratification. We are the latter. That's why we're so into MLB NRFI and YRFI picks, and we're going to share that knowledge with you on our NRFI bets on August 28th. Check out our MLB World Series odds here.
Of course, there are many who will make blind guesses on this matter. It is easy to pick the best hitting team or look at what happened in the previous match. However, we have taken the time to comb through the analysis to bring you the best odds to profit on the NRFI and YRFI props on August 28th. Check out what we have in store for this series of matches.

MLB NRFI and YRFI Picks – August 28th
Chicago Cubs vs Pittsburgh Pirates
First Pitch – 12:35 PM ET
PNC Park – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Broadcast – MLB TV
Today is Paul Skenes day, which means it's time to follow the NRFI from Pittsburgh.
The Pirates continue to be a terrible hitting team. They rank 23rd in the major leagues in runs scored, and even worse in runs scored in the first innings. They rank 28th in runs scored in the first innings, just 0.02 runs per game better than the woeful White Sox offense. Kyle Hendricks is the guy who will try to keep this trend going. He's not doing too well this year, with a 6.33 ERA and 1.45 WHIP. But he's been playing a lot better lately, allowing three or fewer runs in four straight games. That makes his ERA this month just 3.45, which is good enough for our purposes here.
Meanwhile, today is Paul Skeens' day. He has a 2.16 ERA and is a candidate for both the NL Rookie of the Year and NL Cy Young Awards. He also just shut out the Reds, allowing only two runners over 6.0 innings. He also struck out nine in the game. The Cubs' offense isn't particularly good, so he doesn't scare me when he steps up to the plate.
NRFI/YRFI bets for August 28: No (TBD)
Atlanta Braves vs. Minnesota Twins
First Pitch – 7:40 PM EST
Target Field – Minneapolis, Minnesota
Broadcast – MLB TV
The one day I love to follow as much as a Paul Skenes day is a Chris Sale day.
The Braves' offense, while a little better, hasn't been great lately. On Monday, they gave up four runs in the first inning against the Twins, but that hasn't been the norm lately. That was the only time in their last five games that the Braves have scored in the first inning.
On Wednesday, they'll face David Festa. He's not well known, and his numbers aren't great in this seventh career start. But he was also a great pitcher in August, and he's been on a roll lately. He's held opponents to two runs or less in five of his last six starts, which should be enough to get three outs on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, there's not much to say. The Twins' offense has gotten off to slow starts in both games of the series, and they're not even facing National League Cy Young Award candidate Chris Sale, who entered Wednesday's game with a 2.62 ERA and hasn't allowed more than two runs in a game since June 1.
NRFI/YRFI bets for August 28: No (TBD)
