Asia Fruit Logistica is ready to return to Hong Kong from 4-6 September 2024 to reunite its global fresh produce business in Asia.
Asia's largest fresh fruit and vegetable trade fair will return to AsiaWorld-Expo and is expected to be its biggest and best exhibition yet, according to a media release from organisers Global Produce Events.
“We are thrilled to welcome the vibrant community of global fresh produce business professionals to Asia Fruit Logistica 2024,” said David Aksiotis, Managing Director of Global Produce Events.
“Exhibitors and visitors can expect to meet leading buyers and suppliers from all value chains from around the world. They can gain valuable insights from industry experts and thought leaders to learn about the latest trends. They can also discover a wide range of new products, cutting-edge innovations and technologies.”
According to the release, Asia Fruit Logistica will attract more than 750 exhibitors from over 40 countries and regions to showcase their main products and services.
Visitors can explore some 28 national or regional pavilions showcasing a wide range of innovations, including first-time exhibitors from India, Indonesia, Tanzania and Kyrgyzstan.

Networking at the opening gala dinner
Asia Fruit Logistica will kick off with a collaborative gala dinner on the evening of Tuesday, September 3rd, co-hosted with official wholesale market partners Guangzhou Jiangnan Agriculture Group and Shanghai Huizhan Fruit and Vegetable Market, and knowledge partner Asiafruit Magazine. The invitation-only event will be held in the Grand Ballroom of the Kerry Hotel, offering spectacular views of Hong Kong Harbour. Attendees can expect an enjoyable evening of networking with around 1,000 top fresh produce business professionals.

Exhibit space will be sold out and the exhibition hall will be packed with visitors. Visitors will also have access to an informative and insightful content programme at the Asia Fruit Knowledge Centre exhibition hall.
Run by Asiafruit Magazine, Asiafruit Knowledge Centre is Asia Fruit Logistica's newest all-in-one content hub. It will host three stages over three days: Asiafruit Congress, Asiafruit Business Forum and Asiafruit Showcase.
Each day's agenda will have a theme: Day 1 (4 September) will be Consumers and Markets, Day 2 Technology and Innovation, and Day 3 Logistics and Trade.
Asia Fruit Congress, Asia's largest fresh produce conference event, will kick off with a high-level panel discussion on the changing face of Asian consumers and retail. Anson Bailey, KPMG's Asia Pacific Consumer and Retail Leader, will deliver the keynote speech, sharing findings from an extensive survey of 7,000 consumers across 14 markets in the region.
The Logistics & Trade Day will include a session exploring the future of intra-Asia trade with strategic insights from Patrick Vizzone, Co-founder and CFO of Vertical Oceans, Wayne Prowse of Fresh Intelligence, Sam Sin of Pagoda Global Fresh, and Julio Bellota, who heads DP World's commercial logistics business in Southeast Asia.
At the Asia Fruit Business Forum, industry experts will present a wide-ranging programme of case studies and workshops on specific themes. The International Fruit and Vegetable Association (IFPA) will host a series of educational sessions on marketing and merchandising for fresh produce on the first day. Andrew Sim from law firm Baker McKenzie will host a workshop on “Protecting Intellectual Property in Asia” on the second day, together with BloomFresh Chief Legal Officer Alana Rennie and BloomFresh China General Manager David Smith.
The Asia Fruit Showcase is where Asia Fruit Logistica exhibitors will showcase their fresh produce innovations for business success in Asia. On the first day, Helene van Rijn-Wassenaer from Rijk Zwaan will explain how branding can unlock the potential of the Asian bell pepper market, while Secoya's Hans Liekens will share insights from the European blueberry sector on how to create value through product differentiation. Livestreamer Zhao Jie from Shanghai Jiaoyi Industrial Development will also be looking into the outlook for China's premium fruit market on the second day.

Asia Fruit Awards: Celebrating Excellence
Asia Fruit Logistica will also announce the winners of the Asia Fruit Awards, Asia's premier awards for fresh produce excellence. Join us for the awards ceremony on Thursday 5 September. The Asia Fruit Awards recognise Asia's best in fresh produce marketing, importing, retailing and business influence. The winners will be announced on the second day at 2pm on the Asia Fruit Congress Stage at the Asia Fruit Knowledge Centre.
