Nvidia has introduced a pre-trained, customizable artificial intelligence (AI) workflow that provides a “jumpstart” for enterprise developers creating AI applications using one or more AI agents.
The new Nvidia NIM agent blueprint includes a sample application, reference code, customization documentation and a Helm chart for deployment, the company announced in a press release on Tuesday (August 27).
According to the release, enterprises can use business data to modify AI applications, run generative AI (GenAI) applications across high-speed data centers and the cloud, and continuously refine AI applications based on user feedback.
The Nvidia NIM Agent Blueprint is currently available for three key GenAI use cases: customer service, drug discovery, and PDF data extraction, with Nvidia saying it plans to support more use cases in the future.
“The wave of enterprise AI is upon us,” Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang said in the release. “With the Nvidia AI Enterprise toolkit, which includes NeMo, NIM microservices and the latest NIM agent blueprint, our broad partner ecosystem is poised to help companies customize the open source model, build bespoke AI applications and seamlessly deploy them to any cloud, on-premise or at the edge.”
According to the release, the Nvidia NIM Agent Blueprint will be made available to enterprises by global systems integrators and technology solutions providers Accenture, Deloitte, SoftServe and World Wide Technology (WWT).
Full-stack Nvidia-accelerated infrastructure and solutions to speed up deployment of Nvidia NIM agent blueprints are being provided by Cisco, Dell Technologies, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Lenovo, according to the release.
“More NIM agent blueprints are in development for creating generative AI applications for customer service, content generation, software engineering, retail shopping advisors and R&D,” Nvidia said in a blog post on Tuesday. “Nvidia plans to introduce new NIM agent blueprints every month.”
In June, it was reported that AI agents were catching the attention of technology investors, with funding for startups focused on building them skyrocketing. AI agents are software programs that can perform tasks and make decisions based on their environment, inputs and predefined goals, and have the potential to transform industries and create new opportunities.
AI agents designed to exhibit human-like autonomy and social intelligence could transform e-commerce, customer service and other industries by providing personalized emotional intelligence assistance that blurs the lines between human and machine interaction, PYMNTS reported in May.
