I live in Los Angeles and enjoyed visiting Victoria, Canada. The locals I met in the capital of British Columbia were very happy and friendly. Victoria felt like a unique mix of England and Portland. I would love to return in the future.

Photos of Victoria make it look like a city straight out of a fairy tale, and as a Los Angeles resident, I wasn't disappointed on my first visit to British Columbia's capital city.
It quickly became clear that Victoria was a special place – from the historic architecture to the manicured gardens, there was something special everywhere you looked.
