The crowd at Game Theory's launch event experienced a new era of engagement with real-time insights through technology, and what better day than National Sports Day?
Bangalore-based real sports tech platform, Game Theory, showcased its technological prowess and introduced the future of sports globally with its groundbreaking AI-driven computer vision technology, GOAT Vision. The event showcased how professional sports technology can make sports addictive and become a part of everyone's lifestyle.
To coincide with National Sports Day, Game Theory is giving a sneak peek at this cutting edge technology, which is just the beginning of a transformation for athletes across all sports around the world. For the first time, players will have access to insights into their errors and winners, detailed statistics such as calories burned and distance traveled, intensity and effort scores, without the need for a wearable device. They will also be provided with highlight reels, best smashes, best rallies, and many other game attributes – all automatically generated by cutting edge computer vision algorithms and AI.
For Game Theory users, the introduction of this new technology marks a major step forward in gamifying your gaming experience with professional insights. This new introduction ensures a richer, more immersive experience with technology working its magic seamlessly in the background. From real-time scores on a big screen, to video highlights where they are the “stars,” to talking points after each game, the enhancements are designed to make every session more engaging, memorable, and enjoyable. Game Theory's latest technology captures 100,000 frames of gameplay per hour and comes with 150,000 games worth of historical data, far richer than anything else out there.
The fundamental techniques demonstrated for badminton at today's event will soon be rolled out to other sports including pickleball, swimming, paddle tennis, tennis, table tennis, squash, basketball and many more sports to be implemented in the state-of-the-art game theory facility.
“This is just a small part of our vision and AI journey,” said Sudeep Kulkarni, founder and CEO of Game Theory. “We're excited to show you how our technology will evolve to create social communities, rank players according to their skill, put players on a personal fitness path, and automatically organize ladders and league tournaments. What we show you today is just 5% of what we have in store – there's a lot more to come.”
The expo featured live demos, including a match with real-time statistics displayed on LED screens, giving attendees a first-hand experience of the future of amateur sports. By visually seeing the speed of a smash or the intensity of a rally, the technology provides a level of detail previously only available in professional sports broadcasts.
