RARS scandal. Prosecutor's Office regarding the Paweł Chopa store
The investigation into the Government Strategic Reserve Agency began in late 2023. This concerns in particular the abuse of authority or failure to fulfill duties by RARS employees when purchasing products, i.e. conduct that is prejudicial to the public interest.
The basis for starting the investigation was confidential materials collected by the CBA and a notification from the Inspector General of Financial Intelligence. According to prosecutors, the Red Is Bad brand received orders worth 500 million zlotys over three years, all without organizing a tender. Charges were filed against Paweł Chopa at the end of August this year.
In October, the detainees requested safe conduct, but the Warsaw District Court did not agree to issue the order.
