“The circumstances of the incident are currently under investigation,” officers said in a statement.
Israeli media reported that at least 20 people were injured. Emergency services reported treating dozens of injured people.
“At 10:08 am (09:08 Polish time), the MDA emergency center in the Yarkon region received a report that a truck had collided with a bus stop on Aharon Yariv Boulevard in Ramat Hasharon. Currently, MDA emergency personnel and paramedics are providing medical assistance. There are dozens of victims at the scene,” – the emergency medical team reported on X.
According to Israeli media, police are treating the incident as a terrorist attack. The assailant was arrested, The Jerusalem Post reported, citing local authorities.
Police secured the scene and asked drivers to reroute.
