Eighty years ago, Poles fought for the Dutch city of Breda under the leadership of General Stanisław Maczek. Even though decades have passed, the Dutch still remember this sacrifice. They showed their gratitude during Saturday's NAC Breda football match. At one point, a giant sign appeared in the stands that read, “We remember.”

The fight of Poles for freedom of the city was commemorated on Saturday during a football match between NAC Breda. “Our city has had 80 years of freedom. They made the ultimate sacrifice, and for that we will always be grateful to them,” the NAC Breda club wrote on its social media profile. It is written. Celebrations commemorating the events that ended World War II will begin on Friday and continue until the end of the weekend.
