This weekend, the Law and Justice District Conference began, with activists electing local government members within the party.
– The first pre-planned elections to PiS district authorities took place. These actions are part of the changes that have taken place within PiS after the congress, the aim of which is to give a new dynamic to our political environment, party spokesperson Rafał Bochenek said on Sunday.

– The new mayors represent the younger generation, while also having extensive political experience. Rafał Bochenek stressed that they have many years of experience in local government and local government activities on their resumes and are responsible for the highest state functions.
PiS district meetings began on Saturday and will continue over the next two weekends. Activists will elect authorities in a total of 40 districts.

On October 12, a political council and assembly of law and justice was held in Przyzcza, during which the union with sovereign Poland took place. As a result of the merger, SP leaders Zbigniew Ziobro and Patrick Jaki joined the PiS vice-chairman's group. Mr. Ziobro, who is battling cancer, will be replaced by Michał Wojcik until he recovers. In addition, PiS representatives decided that former speaker Seim Elzibieta Vitek will become the new vice president.
As a result of the merger of the two parties, three SP politicians joined the PiS Political Committee: Beata Kempa, Michał Woš and Michał Wojcik. PiS spokesperson Rafał Bochenek also joined the committee.
In addition, a new PiS entity was established: the 29-member Executive Committee, headed by PiS Club Director Mariusz Błaszczak. As the chair stated, the committee is supposed to respond to “current issues and current challenges.”
During the conference, changes were also made to the territorial structure of the group, dividing it into 40 districts. Previously there were 16.
