New structures in law and justice
On October 12, a congress and a meeting of the Political Council of LAW and Justice was held in Prisucha, during which it was held together with sovereign Poland. As a result of the unification, SP leaders – Zbigniew Ziobro and Patrick Yaki joined the group of PiS vice-presidents; Until Ziob, who is battling cancer, recovers, he will be replaced by MP Michal Wojcik. Moreover, the PiS MPs decided that the former speaker of the Sejm, Elzbieta Vitek, will become the new vice president.
As a result of the merger of the two parties, three politicians from sovereign Poland joined the Political Committee of PiS: Beata Kempa, Michal Vos and Michal Wojcik. PiS spokesperson Bochenek also joined the Committee.
In addition, a new body of PiS was formed – an executive committee consisting of 29 people, which is headed by the leader of the PiS club, Mariusz Blaszczak. The committee should – as its head said – deal with responding to “current issues and current problems”.
During the congress, the territorial structure of the group was also changed – it was divided into 40 districts; earlier there were 16 of them.
