The governor of the Bryansk region of Russia, Alexander Bohomaz, announced that an “armed group” tried to cross the border into his region. Ukrainians did not respond to these reports. Bryansk region borders Kursk region, where Ukrainian forces have been attacking since August.
Alexander Bohomaz reported on Sunday that “the border guards of the Federal Security Service stopped the “armed group” from trying to cross the border of the Bryansk region near the village of Manev, Klimovsky District.”
The governor of Bryansk region stated that practically no one lives in this village and the Russians “fired at the enemy”. He said that “the situation in Klimov region is stable and under control”. He did not reveal more details.

It borders with Kursk region
Ukrainians did not respond to these reports. The information provided by Bohomaz was not confirmed by the Ministry of Defense in Moscow, which on Sunday reported the attacks of Ukrainian drones in several regions of Russia, including Bryansk.
Bryansk region borders Kursk region, where Ukrainian forces have been attacking since August. The commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian army, Oleksandr Sirskyi, reported in September that the occupied area in the border region is more than 1,260 square kilometers. Ukrainians entered the territory of Russia to protect the Sumy region from Russian bullets.
The city of Klimovo, Bryansk region, is located 12 kilometers from the border with Ukraine. In the middle of August, Bohomaz reported about the “attempt of a sabotage group and intelligence officers of Ukraine to break into the Klimov region.” The governor later announced that “a war has taken place,” also without divulging details.
