A tram derailed in central Oslo and crashed into a nearby building. – He was driving very fast and then I heard an explosion. Witnesses say there is total chaos here. The accident occurred on the 11th, when about 20 people were on the tram.
Work is underway to determine the extent of the damage, but police said the damage to the store was extensive, vg.no. reported.

Just after 11am, police received a report that a tram had crashed into a store in central Oslo. There were about 20 passengers on board at the time of the accident. Police said three passengers and the driver were injured.
– There were no injuries to store employees or customers, – rescue workers added. The building hit by the tram was evacuated.

Witnesses to the accident claim the tram was “moving at a very high speed”. – Then I heard a bang. One passerby said he called police and an ambulance because he needed to see if anyone could be helped.
The streetcar has gone off the tracks. “Complete chaos”
– It's complete chaos here now. Police are already on their way to the scene. It's surreal. Another witness added that the tram stood across almost the entire street.
One of the people who works in a nearby office said some of the store's customers were able to escape on their own. – Immediately stood up after the collision. It sounded like the wagon was going to come off the tracks. The man said he then heard the sound of glass breaking and the alarm going off.
Police announced that traffic at the scene of the incident would be closed for an extended period of time.
