The attack on Kharkiv took place on Wednesday night. Ukraine's second largest city was damaged by a guided bomb fired by Russia. The missile landed in a nine-story apartment building.

Local authorities said an 11-year-old child was killed in the attack. Oleg Sinevov reported that a child was pulled out from under the rubble and was seriously injured. However, medical services were unable to save his life.
A recording shared online shows a gaping hole in the skyscraper. A fire broke out at the scene after the shell hit. A car parked near the property was also set ablaze, according to the video.
According to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, several floors of the building were destroyed in the air raid.
Volodymyr Zelensky also spoke about this issue. He stressed that the number of victims could be higher as people may still be trapped under the rubble. Many services are in operation on site. At least 29 people are currently known to have been injured.
Zelensky appeals to allies
The Ukrainian president turned to his allies. “Our partners are aware of what is happening every day,” he said on social media. “Under these circumstances, if their decisions are delayed, dozens or even hundreds of more Russian bombs will be sent to Ukraine. “It means to be used for.”
