At least 14 people were killed and more than 30 injured after lightning struck a church in Uganda. The tragedy occurred as believers in Palabek refugee camp gathered for prayer. Many of the victims are minors.

The tragedy occurred when people gathered at the temple for prayer. Police said the storm began around here on the 17th, and one of the discharges struck a church building 30 minutes later.

At least 14 people were killed by lightning strikes. A further 34 people were injured. Police said the victims ranged in age from 9 to 21, and were mostly children. Their nationalities have not been disclosed.
