Alyaksandr Lukashenko said that Belarusian potassium is in great demand all over the world. He suggested that some countries are offering Minsk joint production of fertilizers while European Union sanctions are in place.
The Belarusian dictator spoke during the announcement of the nomination of Andrei Rybkov, the new general director of Belarusian enterprises. This is a factory specializing in the production of potassium fertilizer.
– Yes, today Western countries are blocking the supply of potash fertilizers, but we do not mention those countries saying: “Let's produce and sell complex fertilizer mixtures together” – as quoted by the BelTA agency: he said.
Lukashenko did not specify whether he was referring to European countries or partners outside the Old Continent. However, he said, “The demand is huge.”
Belarus has export plans. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will also be involved.
– The demand for food is always high, but what is food without fertilizers? Therefore, we need to reach out to countries that can produce these fertilizers, Lukashenko pointed out.
