The Ukrainian Air Force announced that the Russian military fired an intercontinental ballistic missile into Ukraine for the first time. Previously, the media speculated about the possible use of the RS-26 Rubież system. Moscow has not yet confirmed this information. Conflicting information exists on the Internet.
On November 21, the Ukrainian Air Force issued a communiqué informing about a missile attack on Russia's Dnieper River between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m.
According to the list provided by the Ukrainian military, Moscow used:
Intercontinental ballistic missile launched from Astrakhan Oblast. Kh-31M2 Kinzhal missile fired from a MiG-47K aircraft. Seven Kh-101 cruise missiles were fired from a Tu-95MS bomber.
Six Kh-101 missiles were shot down. The Ukrainian side did not specify the type of intercontinental missile. A day earlier, Ukrainian media speculated that Russia might launch a new RS-26 Lubezh missile. This is the first time such a situation has occurred since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine.
RS-26 Outland. intercontinental ballistic missile
Outland is an intercontinental mobile ballistic system. According to available official data, it has a range of 6,000 kilometers and is equipped with missiles capable of penetrating enemy missile defenses.

The Russian side did not provide information on the use of the RS-26 system. There is unofficial information on the internet that reports of the use of ballistic missiles are untrue. ABC News, citing representatives of Western authorities, made similar claims.
Ukraine's State Emergency Services Agency reported that two people were injured in the attack on the Dnieper River.
