On Saturday, the Civil Alliance will announce the name of its candidate for the position of the President of the Republic of Poland. Today, the Civic Platform, Nowoczesna, Inycyatyuwa Polska and the Greens will hold pre-elections, in which about 25,000 members of these parties can take part. – Both Trzaskowski and Sikorski are excellent candidates, both excelling in slightly different areas. It would be better for Poland if they created a president – says the sociologist professor. Przemyslav Sadura.
“Sikor or Trzaska?” – political enthusiasts argue in Internet forums. Experts emphasize: it is not a question of which of them is better, but which of them is better for the current time, what does the public think about both candidates? Trzaskovsky is closer to people and their problems, while Sikorsky is a strict person during the war. One listens, the other thinks. “Everyday problems and economic problems are important for Poles,” says Prof. Dorota Piontek, political scientist. And it is these emotions that may ultimately determine the choice of president.
Activists of the Civil Alliance will soon choose a presidential candidate from the KO, and tomorrow we will find out who will win – today the parties forming the Alliance will vote all day long via SMS. Who has a better chance? The mayor of Warsaw, Rafal Trzaskowski, or the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Radoslaw Sikorski?
Last Monday, Prime Minister Donald Tusk shared the results of a “major study”. Studio Opinia24 did it on behalf of Civic Platform on November 5-10 in a group of 2,001 Poles.
Prime Minister Tusk wrote: “Rafal Trzaszkowski defeated PiS candidate 40-28 in the first round and 57-43 in the second round.” Based on this poll, Radoslav Sikorski lost to the PiS candidate by 28 to 30 percent in the first round, but won in the second round by 54 to 46 percent.

According to the survey, 41 percent of all Poles are allowed to vote for Rafal Trzaszkowski in the presidential election. In the example of Radoslav Sikorski, it is 26 percent.
However, these are the results of polls among Poles, and the presidential candidate must be chosen in the primaries by the members of the constituent parties of the KO – about 25,000 people have the right to vote.
The Civil Alliance primary will be held on Friday. None of the candidates will give up Arleta Zalewska/Fakty TVN
“Sikor or Trzask”? – political enthusiasts argue in Internet forums. I asked the sociologist prof. Przemysław Sadura from Warsaw University and political scientist Prof. Dorota Piontek from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. According to them, both candidates have great competence and knowledge, but each one excels in different areas.
Absolute knockout
Prof. Przemysław Sadura emphasizes that other parties may envy the candidates of the Civil Alliance.
