Weather in the islands. The Associated Press released the footage from Sunday after Storm Bert caused extensive damage to parts of northern England and Wales. In England's Todmorden, heavy rainfall and melting snow in higher areas caused widespread flooding. The roads, houses and infrastructure of the city were flooded, making it difficult to move around the city. Pontypridd in Wales also struggled with the elements. Heavy rains of more than 100 mm in mountainous areas caused flooding of rivers and destruction of buildings in the city center. Flooding occurred in the localities. Further flood warnings remain in place for England, Wales and Scotland as the rain continues. No deaths have yet been reported from Storm Bert in the UK, but the situation remains critical in some areas.
