– A negotiated solution to the Ukraine crisis is possible if the United States and Western countries realize there is no alternative to Russian President Vladimir Putin's peace proposal, says Sergei Ryabkov. According to the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, negotiations will only be possible if military aid to Kiev is stopped.

As discussed, the US would then persuade Kiev to agree to territorial concessions in exchange for an immediate cessation of fighting.

The topic of possible peace negotiations was raised by journalists from the Russian propaganda agency RIA Novosti. The deputy head of the Russian Foreign Ministry was asked about the possibility of negotiations towards a cessation of fighting.
– He said a negotiated solution to the Ukraine crisis is possible if the United States and Western countries recognize that there is no alternative to Russian President Vladimir Putin's peace proposal.
The Russian diplomat said the current situation shows that Western countries are not willing to start talks with Russia to end military operations and are escalating the conflict.

“If they cling to illusions, insist on misunderstood conspiracies, inflame the situation with support and weapons, push Kiev to new provocations and criminal acts, then of course there is no basis for negotiations. It is very easy ” he emphasized.
“They must either accept President Putin's proposal or stay where they are with the prospect of the situation worsening further,” he added.
