Russia has turned its unpredictability into a very important advantage in the game – said Professor Adam Daniel Rothfeld, former Minister of Foreign Affairs in “Fact po Facti”. Referring to the Ukrainian president's high-profile statements about a possible plan to end the war, the diplomat said Zelensky was trying to “signal that no agreement is possible without Ukraine.”
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky gave an interview to Sky News reporter Stuart Ramsay. He was asked to comment on media reports that one of US President-elect Donald Trump's plans to end the war with Russia might be to give Kiev land it owns in exchange for Ukraine joining NATO.
Zelensky said that Kiev's invitation to NATO should include Ukraine within the borders of internationally recognized borders, but it is possible that the membership of this pact will be offered to the unoccupied territories of Ukraine. Such a solution, according to the President of the Republic of Ukraine, can lead to the end of the “hot phase of the war”.

Prof. Rothfeld: Putin is a poker player
According to Professor Rothfeld, Zelensky is trying to “show that no agreement is possible without Ukraine.” – His decision to turn the concept of “land for peace” into a topic of national debate is important. It has its advantages and disadvantages, he said. The professor showed the positive aspects of the current situation. – The time is approaching when serious negotiations about negotiations and agreements will begin. Ukraine will play a decisive role in these negotiations. It will not be on Ukraine, because Ukraine will take the initiative, he said.
The former head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that “Russia has made its unexpected advantage in the game very important.” – (Vladimir Putin – ed.) is a poker player, – he added.
But in his opinion, Putin's decisions have “lost” so far. – He believed that Ukraine could not only defend itself, but that the situation would change within a week. It turned out that the war has been going on for 2.5 years and it is likely to last longer, he noted.
