The candidate of the sciences of law and justice in the upcoming presidential elections will be the president of the Institute of National Memory, Karol Nawroki, who is presented by the party as a “citizen” candidate. Michal Dworczyk – PiS MEP, former head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery, said on TVN24's “Rozmova Piaszkiego” that there was a “strategy” behind Nawrocki's selection as a candidate.
To the question whether he does not consider the election of a person outside the party as a candidate, for example, Mateusz Morawiecki, Mariusz Blaszczak, Przemysław Czarnek, or himself, as an “injustice of fate”, he answered as follows: – I do. do not think that there is any injustice. I think there is a strategy. This strategy will be discussed. In my opinion, today it is appropriate to choose a person who is not connected to the party, – said guest Konrad Piasecki.
– After eight years of rule, Law and Justice and most of the politicians you mentioned will carry the burden of these eight years of power with them. Any involvement in executive power carries certain burdens. Therefore, a person was chosen who, on the one hand, has the appropriate authority, and on the other hand, does not have to bear the eight-year burden of state responsibility, – explained Dvorchik.
“It's going to be a crazy race.”
He added that he considers Navrochki's election “positive”. – We have completed a very long stage of candidate selection. And this is something that should be evaluated positively. Now everyone, regardless of their opinion, belief, sympathy or antipathy in our political formation, knows who the candidate is and we all support this candidate's campaign, said the parliament member.
He said that “President Nawrocki has a number of advantages that give him a chance in this race.” – This will be an extremely difficult race, and it is already visible, especially after the explosion of the carpet and the attack that begins on him, – says Dvorchik.
He called the “fake fakes on the Internet and various slanders” a “carpet raid”. – Then, of course, they deny it and someone even apologized. But we know what kind of message was sent, he said.
The PiS politician was also asked if he exists and if his party is familiar with “the dossier (information about – editor) Nawrocki”. – I don't know what file we are talking about. I know that such a document or file is circulating somewhere on the internet. I have seen a lot of information on the Internet that slanders or misrepresents Karol Navroki. I think it has something to do with it. It is difficult for me to speak clearly about a document that I do not know, he said.
– Of course, I heard accusations of communication with the fan community. (…) I believe that it will be used by Karol Navroki's opponent. But what is most important and needs to be emphasized is that Karol Nawrocki constantly denies all the information that appeared on the Internet – says Dvorchik.
