In the yard of a house in the village of Lubel Kalnicki in the north of Croatia, the police found the bodies of two infants. The parents of the children were arrested.
The bodies of two children under one year old were found on Tuesday. In this incident, the authorities arrested the parents of the children. They also have a third child, 4 years old, who is under the supervision of specialists. The portal Vijesti – HRT reports that it was the condition of the older child, who was allegedly neglected and malnourished, that worried the neighbors of the couple. They reported the matter to the police and made a gruesome discovery shortly after arriving at the scene. According to Croatian media, the quick discovery of the body indicates that the officers had accurate information about the tragedy.

Minister on “brutal coldness”
Croatian Interior Minister Davor Božinović announced on Tuesday that the couple, aged 38 and 34, are not married. The probable cause of death of the children was “gross neglect”. – The exact cause will be revealed by the examination, – assured the politician. – They will be interrogated, and if the prosecutor's office submits an application for temporary arrest, a decision on the application will be made during the day. I don't want to predict whether such an application will be submitted or not, said Deputy District Prosecutor Darko Galic on Wednesday, citing the “N1” TV portal.

Media: parents may belong to the same sect
Croatian media reports that the parents may belong to the same sect. – A man was walking around the village in a black shirt and had a long beard. We did not see my wife. As far as we know, none of them are working, said one of the residents quoted by Jutarnji List newspaper. The mayor of the commune, Nenad Horvatic, told HRT television that the couple moved to this village five years ago. – They were here for two days, in Zagreb for two days, and in Split for another two days. They are referring to reports from neighbors, he added.
