The Ukrainian Navy reported an attack on oil platforms off the coast of Crimea. These facilities were occupied in 2015, after the occupation of the peninsula by Russian forces.
The Ukrainian Navy said in a social media post on Saturday that control systems on the platforms were damaged as a result of the attack. It also released a recording of alleged attacks on Russian oil platforms after the annexation of Crimea.
“Invaders don't stay in our territory – we take them everywhere,” the entry reads.

Drilling platforms built from 2010 to 2012 off the coast of Crimea in the Black Sea were seized by Russia in 2015. Radio Svoboda mentioned that the Russian forces used these facilities for military purposes after the armed aggression against Ukraine in February 2022. The platforms served as helicopter landing pads, and the Russian military also placed radar stations there. Ukrainian forces repeatedly attacked this facility.
