Due to the attack of the rebels, the family of the Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad left the country and are now in Russia, The Telegraph and The Wall Street Journal reported. Perhaps the dictator himself is already there, because on Sunday morning international agencies reported that Assad escaped from Damascus on a plane that flew to an unknown destination. Damascus was occupied by rebels who announced the end of the regime's rule.
The Telegraph wrote on Saturday: “Bashar al-Assad's family fled to Russia a few days after the start of the rebel offensive to seize territory in northern Syria.” Apparently, the decision to flee the country was influenced by very clear information from Moscow. A source close to the Kremlin told Bloomberg that Moscow has no intention of saving the Syrian president, writes the British newspaper.

Earlier, The Wall Street Journal, relying on the Syrian security services and Arab authorities, reported that the British wife of Asma Assad, the president of Syria, fled to Russia. She took her three children with her.
As the newspaper reports, Assad's two brothers and sons-in-law also left Syria but went to the United Arab Emirates.
Earlier there was also information that Assad's family and perhaps Assad himself should board a plane to Iran, but the government of Tehran categorically denied these reports.

Media: Assad left the capital
On Sunday morning, international agencies reported that Bashar Assad escaped from the capital on a plane that flew to an unknown destination.
At 7 o'clock in the morning in Poland, the rebels who took over the television announced in an address to the people that “Damascus is free” and the 24-year rule of the dictator has ended. But at the same time, the Syrian army, which is loyal to the dictator, claims that it is constantly fighting terrorists in other cities.
The disastrous situation in Syria, which has been completely destabilized and destroyed by the civil war, has been going on for 13 years. More than half a million people were probably killed there and several million lost their homes.
